New Foundations
A foundation is the one part of a build you can’t fix later, so it has to be right the first time. We form and pour footings, foundation walls, and slabs for new homes, additions, and garages — starting with what’s underneath: soil prep, compaction, and drainage planned for Tacoma’s wet ground. Forms are set level and square, reinforcement goes in before the pour, and we work around your builder’s schedule and the City of Tacoma inspections so the pour happens on time.
Foundation Repair
When part of a foundation has settled, the repair follows the same basic steps:
- Assess. We look at the cracks, check how far floors have dropped, and find the cause — usually water or soft soil — so the repair fixes the problem, not just the symptom.
- Prepare. Underground utilities are located, and landscaping and hardscape near the work area are protected.
- Dig. We excavate alongside the affected section to reach the footing.
- Lift and stabilize. The settled section is supported, brought back toward level, and held there so it stops sinking.
- Backfill and clean up. Soil goes back in, compacted and graded to shed water away from the house, and we leave the site clean.
